I have been a Caregiver for 8 years. I have worked with dementia patients as well as patients with other health issues. I have worked as an hourly Caregiver as well as Live In. I have worked in facilities, hospitals, and patients homes caring for them. I take patients to and from their doctor's appointments, run errands, med reminders, assist with bathing and Skin Care, prepare meals, house cleaning, ensure the safety of the patient, assist patients with walkers and wheelchairs, talk with patients when they are feeling down to help build them up. I have experience with patients with incontinence issues. I find my job as a Caregiver to be very rewarding. I really enjoy my job and knowing I'm helping others. I enjoy seeing the female patients faces light up when I do makeup and hair. It really makes them feel good even if we just stay home.

I would proceed with caution in hiring this candidate as she was not very professional, wasn't dependable or punctual at times. She was hired to run simple errands, appointments, shopping etc for my Mom and would string her along in having my mother change her appointments multiple times to canceling the day of. This happened on several occasions. She then decides the day of several appointments that she was quitting no advance notice etc or care that she was quitting. Very sad that the professionalism in her profile description does not match the job that she does. Thanks
