About Patricia

2003 through 2013, I cared full-time, in-home, for my mother who had type 2 Diabetes and suffered Dementia. She passed in 2013 at our home, under hospice care. I managed every aspect of her day from cooking, shopping, getting her to appointments, purchasing personal care products, pharmaceuticals, etc. I helped her communicate with others when we shopped together or went out for a meal. I developed the patience, good humor and knowledge to be sensitive to her needs, to help her retain her personal dignity when she was in the end-stages of dementia, helped her with her hygiene as her disease progressed. Shortly after she passed, I cared for two wonderful women, one, home bound, with advanced Dementia, the other, active and social, with advanced MS.
