I have 2 large dogs, a cat, and 2 rats. My dogs are 7 and 8 yrs old. They have the run of the house. I do not crate my dogs; they sleep in bed or on the couch--where ever they want. I was babysitting kids, but they're all in school now. I was doing this for 10 yrs. I also did home health at night or on weekends for 12 yrs. I have had dogs and pets all my life, and they're not animals, they're your children. I took my German shepherd to dog training, so I do know how to train the dog to heel, sit, stay, and come. I have dog sat for friends and family from time to time. Some of my home health clients had cats and dogs that I took care of while I took care of them, too. Many years ago, I owned a pet shop with my late husband.
