About Pamela

It is my pleasure to provide this recommendation for Pamela A. Pam came to us by referral and for the past number of years, attended to my mother in law, Mies H., in our home until her passing last month. Mies was never easy; in most things, she was contrarian and stubborn. She was diminished by age and dementia and increasingly required help with almost everything. Over the years, Pam cared for her in every needful way and seamlessly adapted to Mies' increasing frailty. Pam was always knowledgeable and efficient in her duties and always attentive. She came with extensive prior experience in caring for the elderly and made all the difference in Mies' final years. Mies has had competent care by others, but Pam brought a level of concern for her well being and comfort that was beyond what was professionally required. In big things and in small ways, she was endlessly patient and thoughtful and was never frustrated or cross with Mies who could be and all too often, was difficult. Though it all, Pam was endlessly bright, cheerful, kind and resourceful, carrying on one sided conversations to stimulate Mies and to be company and finding the right way to do what was necessary. She never missed a beat, she understood Mies' physical, medical and profoundly human needs and found ways to make her live better in every way she could. Her care and compassion went way beyond that which is motivated by money. Without exaggeration, Pam is an above and beyond caregiver and a truly exceptional and remarkable person in all kinds of ways. We often talk about quality of life for Mies, as well as for us, Pam was quality of life. She's trustworthy in everything and every way and truly what people ought to be. Sincerely, Paul N.
