About Ophena

Ophena (she/they) is originally from Ojai, CA. She graduated from the Univeristy of California, Davis, as a Human Development and Theatre & Dance dual majors. She has been working with children of all ages for as long as she can remember through summer camps, after-school programs, and coaching martial arts. After graduating, she combined her passions for both Education and Performance Arts at Broadway Sacramento, where she promoted accessible arts, musical theatre camps, internships, and opportunities for those who would otherwise be unable to attend the theatre. Recently moved to Chicago, she is excited to continue her work with children and learn about the city through the kiddos' lenses. In her free time, she can be found costume designing for local theatres and going on adventures with her dog Hiccup.
