My playfulness, creativity, humor and intuitive way for seeing and meeting the needs of families are a joy for me to bring to my work with children. I have a BA in Theater, Speech and English Ed and am certified in Early Childhood Waldorf Education, as well as child/infant CPR/First Aid. I've been working in preschools and nurseries for 14 years. Before 2009 I was a nanny for several years, camp counselor, and therapeutic arts in nature facilitator with teens and adults. The families I have worked with over the years continue to be dear friends. I'm so looking forward to making more! * My current availability is for on-call or occassional Fridays, evenings and weekends. * My car is not safe for transporting kiddos due to broken back seatbelts. I do have a great driving record and am happy to transport using a family vehicle.

We love Oohna! With her background in Waldorf early childhood education, she brings great expertise to her work. She is an amazing, loving teacher and childcare provider to our 2 year old son. She brings him to the park and they do a lot of nature discovery. She also has a background in trauma-informed childcare and is very safety-conscious. It is clear that working with kids is her passion and life’s work. She is easy to communicate with and has a very calm and relaxed presence. We are so grateful to have her as a babysitter, if a nanny was in our budget we would hire her in a heartbeat!
