About Ondraya

I like tutoring because it creates a safe space to not only allow students the opportunity to ask for help, but to receive the personalized session to equip them with the tools needed to be academically successful. I'm looking for a job that is willing to trust the process and work with me to ensure the student's overall success is the priority. I initially started tutoring when I was in high school to gain my community service hours; however, I became a paid tutor in 2017. In my spare time, I like to read books on my iPad and go to the movies. One thing you should know about me is I love children. I love seeing the "light bulb" shine when they finally grasp a concept and realize it wasn't so hard after all. My skills include delivering differential instruction because tutoring sessions should be tailored to fit the needs of the students so they can understand the material independently, making learning fun and rewarding, and identifying a student's weakness to improve it.
