About Olivia

Nice to meet you, I'm Olivia! I've always loved working with children and getting to know them as individuals. I enjoy discovering their personalities and interests and finding creative ways to connect with them through art, music, movement, imaginative play, and time outdoors. I have several years of professional experience with children ages 3 through high school. I spent nearly a year as an assistant teacher at Bubbles Academy in Chicago, working with 6-7-year-olds, leading arts classes, teaching parent-child ballet, and using guitar for morning songs. Back in Lafayette, I spent four years at Forest Academy as a lead and assistant teacher, working with ages 3-11 in an outdoor setting focused on social-emotional development, independence, and skill building. I've also taught ballet for about five years and currently work one-on-one as a behavior therapist. I value creating a safe, comfortable environment where children feel understood and encouraged to be themselves.
