About Olivia

I grew up in Washington, DC and went to school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I started officially babysitting when I was 12 years old and have worked for at least 15 different families over the course of that time, including one family for almost 10 years. I'm an energetic, empathetic, patient, playful, caring, creative, and kind person. I believe a strong relational foundation of mutual care, love, trust, and respect is necessary to hold boundaries and facilitate personal growth. I work part-time for a small nonprofit focused on youth mental health and teen suicide prevention. It is important to me that I work with a family that understands the importance of their children's mental health and does their best to foster an environment of openness, safety, compassion, and empathy. I love helping children learn more about themselves and how to best communicate their wants, needs, and emotions with peers and adults.
