About Olivia

I just finished my Bachelors Degree and have decided to take the steps necessary to become a licensed teacher in Ohio. Although I am not licensed yet, teaching younger kids is my joy and passion. In grade school, I would give up my study halls to be a part of our peer tutoring program. During college, I worked as a tutor for the Student Athlete Support Services Office. I would tutor student athletes for OSU due to their classes being prominently online. After graduating college, I became a part of a mentoring program names CRIS (Community Refugee & Immigration Services). The program was structured so that I could provide academic and social support to young incoming refugees. I would meet with my mentee at least once a week to sit and go over/through schoolwork together. After seeing her struggle with school, I loved being able to see her thrive academically from our tutoring sessions. Since then, I have finalized the decision to take the leap and get my teaching license.
