About Olivia

Currently a master's student at Teachers College Columbia University, studying for a degree in Secondary Inclusive Education and a certification in Secondary Special Education. Extensive previous experience with a diversity of needs and circumstances. Fulbright grantee in Nepal for 2 years, helped to establish primary special needs classrooms and services for village students. I have worked as the 'mother's helper' for a family with triplets, family babysitter for a family with 3 daughters aged 8, 4 and 6 months for 2 years. Additionally, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health counseling, residency experience in Occupational Therapy specifically for children and adolescents. Served as the care taker for a 21-year-old female with multiple physical and cognitive impairments and needs for 4 years and remain very close with this individual and her family. Worked as an on call counselor at a residential treatment facility for abused and abandoned youth and served as the 'big sister' for an 11-year-old female living at the facility. Served as an on-call counselor and tutor at a juvenile delinquency facility for male juvenile offenders aged 12-21, and served as a mentor here.
