About Olivia

I believe in the genius of every child and have a passion for helping students develop a love of lifelong learning. I know that when it comes to tutoring, it is important to create a comfortable and supportive environment that fosters confidence and growth. As a recent graduate of Tufts University with degrees in Psychology and Peace and Justice Studies, I have experience working as a tutor in the Somerville area through Tufts tutors. I also have experience working as a Teacher s Aide with students ranging from 1st to 12th grade. I have had success academically and feel confident in my proficiency in a wide variety of subjects, including english, math, social studies, and science. I can also help with SAT and ACT prep, and really enjoy working with pre-college students. I view tutoring as a cooperative effort, in which we work together to achieve students' goals. I provide caring feedback, encourage deep understanding, and focus on developing confidence and joy in learning.
