About Olivia

I have been helping care for children since I was 12 years old. I know a lot of people have! I started getting serious about my passion to work with young people when I was a junior in high school. I spent a couple years in assisting in a daycare facility with children as young as infants. Once I went to college I got a job mentoring children and teenagers in Grand Rapids Public Schools through GVSU programs. This led me to substitute teaching for all age groups while I finished my schooling. I am now a certified secondary education teacher! While most of my recent experience is with middle and high schoolers, I enjoy all age groups. This keeps me completely and consistently certified in infant, child and adult first aid and CPR. I have many resources, tools and experiences that allow me to focus on the developmental and physical wellbeing of children. Finally, I highly enjoy entertaining others in a way that is educational and enjoyable!
