About Olive

Growing up my dream has always been to work in the human services sector, providing care and compassionate service to those unable to care for themselves. I worked for many years as caregiver for AG Care, a Care giving agency in London United Kingdom for four years. In that time I had the opportunity to work with several elderly and disabled clients in nursing/care homes and in their own homes. I worked with clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, depression, cancer, autism, diabetes, heart problems, injuries, arthritis among others. I was fortunate to undertake several training programs in many areas of care. When the health of my grandmother declined sharply in 2010, I had no opportunity but to return to Sierra Leone to personal care for her. In this time I was also able to volunteer as Nursing Assistant with the Regent General Hospital in Sierra Leone until 2014, where I had the opportunity to serve all manner of patients with varying needs. My grandmother passed in July 2014, and I can very proud of the kind of care I provided her for four years.
