About Oli

In my over 10 years of experience caring for kids, my focus has been to foster a safe place for them to be themselves and explore the world around them. I support curiosity while providing the guidance that kids look to in the adults around them. I worked as a swim coach for three years, fostering a sense of community and positive challenge for kids ranging in age from 2-18. I spent a year volunteering for Vamos Outdoor Project, doing outdoor sports with youth facing challenges rooted in systematic poverty. I worked in Santiago Attilan for half a year, building a program to support the youth of a fair trade organization through community- led tutoring. Most recently, I nannyed for a wonderful 4-year-old who had lost his mom, and was readjusting to life with his loving grandmother. I'm a contracting artist and an avid lover of plants, and I incorporate this into my caregiving.
