I really enjoy spending time with children and helping them learn and grow. I'm patient, caring, calm, and friendly, and I love creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment. Being a mom to a child with autism has also given me a deeper understanding and compassion for children with different needs. In Ukraine, I worked with children ages 2-13 as an ABA therapist and speech pathologist, including children with autism, and as a defectologist supporting children with developmental and speech delays. Here in the U. S., I have one year of babysitting experience, eight months caring for a5-year-old boy, and six months as a paraprofessional/teacher assistant in middle school. I have a reliable car and clean driving record. I'm also happy to help with errands, grocery shopping, organizing, schedules and routines, light cooking, and light housekeeping. My goal is to make your family's daily routine easier while providing caring and dependable support.
It is difficult to put into words just how much Oksana has meant to our family over the past year. She came into our lives as our son E’s nanny, but she is leaving us as someone we truly consider part of our family. Oksana has cared for E since October 2025, working part time with our family during the school year and full time over the summer. From the very first day they met, the two of them were like two peas in a pod. Their connection was immediate, and watching their relationship grow into such a deep, loving bond has been incredibly special. Elliott absolutely adores her and has looked forward to seeing her every morning. Our son is a sweet, silly, affectionate and social five-year-old who also has some unique developmental needs. Oksana’s background in behavioral therapy, combined with her own experience as a parent to two sons, gave her an extraordinary ability to understand E and meet him exactly where he was. She quickly learned how to recognize when he needed patience and reassurance, when he needed encouragement, and when he simply needed someone to hold a firm and consistent boundary. That balance is one of the things we have appreciated most about Oksana. She is incredibly patient, kind, attentive and loving, but she is not a pushover. She could be wonderfully silly with E one minute — playing, laughing, reading or heading out on an adventure — and calmly help him work through a refusal, difficult transition or meltdown the next. She understood that caring for him meant not only keeping him happy and safe, but also helping him learn, grow, communicate and become more independent. Oksana always found ways to keep E active and engaged, whether through outings, activities, reading, imaginative play or simply spending meaningful time together. She prepared his meals, cared for his things, kept his play and eating areas organized, and consistently took ownership of the everyday responsibilities that come with caring for a young child. She was also exceptionally dependable and punctual and very rarely missed a day, which gave us tremendous peace of mind as working parents. But what makes Oksana so special cannot really be captured in a list of responsibilities. It is the way she loves the children in her care. She has treated E as though he were her own. As his mom, there is no greater gift than being able to leave your child each morning knowing that the person caring for him genuinely loves him, understands him, advocates for him and wants the very best for him. I never had to wonder whether E was safe, happy or cared for when he was with Oksana. I knew he was. Our time with Oksana is ending only because E is beginning kindergarten, and saying goodbye to this chapter is incredibly bittersweet. We are so excited for him to take this next step, but we will miss Oksana madly. She has been such an important part of E’s life and of our family, and I know the bond they share will stay with him for a very long time. I cannot recommend Oksana highly enough. She is patient, dependable, compassionate, trustworthy, experienced and, above all, genuinely loving. Any family would be incredibly lucky to welcome her into their home, and any child would be fortunate to have someone like Oksana in their corner. The next family who chooses her will not simply be gaining a wonderful nanny. They will be gaining someone who will love and care for their child wholeheartedly - and we feel incredibly fortunate that, for this chapter of E’s life, she was ours.
