Hi, I'm Nya!! I am the oldest of three younger siblings. This taught me skills like flexibility, patience, and compassion. I often helped by cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and with pick up/drop off. I enjoy getting to understand the different personalities children have. I think connection is so important! When you get to know the child, you can nurture them better. I have worked with infants, toddlers, and school ages. I got to witness connection firsthand as a camp counselor for three years. I managed big groups of kids, led activities(crafts and indoor/outdoor activities), and problem solved all while remaining calm, kind, and punctual. I lead activities for educational and emotional development(STEAM, SEL, etc.) I also got to meet and interact with parents during pick up each day which I always enjoyed! As a first-time mom balancing working from home, household duties, and raising a toddler, Nya truly helped me find my rhythm and momentum. She doesn't just watch our baby; she actively partners with us in her development. Nya reads books, uses flashcards, and plans interactive activities, seamlessly reinforcing everything I teach outside of work hours. Thanks to that consistency, our baby mastered her alphabets, numbers, colors, and animals before turning 2! She’s also taught sign language, enforces healthy habits like limiting screen time, and consistently works on manners—from saying "please" and "thank you" to praising her as she learns patience and waiting her turn. Nya is as dependable and adaptable as they come. She has traveled with our family on two trips, covers late-night date nights, steps in for mommy-me time days, takes our baby on fun local field trips, and effortlessly manages light housekeeping and organizing. Honestly, we hope Nya stays in our lives forever, whether for future travel or just a few hours a week as our baby grows. Any mom or family would be beyond blessed to have Nya in their corner. We give her our highest possible recommendation!
