We needed weekly house cleaning services. Met with her and reviewed thoroughly our expectations. We offered her $160 per week and made it clear that we did not want her to work on a time clock. We expected her to clean our house as if it was her own and to take initiative of what needed to be done. She agreed. As time went on she started to work on a time schedule, only staying for 6 hours or less, she would not complete tasks that were asked of her like cleaning the entire sliding glass door- she only cleaned what she could reach, vacuuming the couch, wiping down the washer and dryer, cleaning baseboards, etc! I would even leave notes for her and she would still not do it. She also would not understand what you said to her but would just smile and say yes then not do what you asked. In addition, she would leave without finishing her job, leave her wash towels in the washer or dryer for me to fold, and if she did not know where something went she would just leave it instead of asking. She took no initiative to improve and earn the money that she was paid. Lastly, we have a three week old baby and are moving in a week and she sent a text, did not show common courtesy and call me, and quit. She did not even offer to give me two weeks notice or come one last time. She gave me two days notice. I would recommend never hiring this person as she just takes from her employers and does not give anything back!
