My senior care giving experience has focused on clients with mobility challenges and/or dementia. As a caregiver for Senior Helpers, I transported clients, performed cooking and light housekeeping duties, assisted with mobility exercises and provided companionship. Since 2015 I have worked independently -- in home or in a care facility -- as a private caregiver for one or more families with a loved one experiencing dementia. I spend the summers in northern Michigan and work for Comfort Keepers there. As a yoga teacher since 2008, I understand mobility issues. I've taught chair, gentle and yoga for arthritis to a senior population. I am also a trained end-of-life doula.

"Nora is the one person, including family members, that I can count on to organize herself to be where she says she will be and when without my having to follow up. When we interviewed she asked all the pertinent questions regarding Mom's care for the times of day we were asking for. I didn't feel that I had to keep telling her all the particulars we needed because she asked me first. She was very kind and loving with Mom who has Alzheimer's. Her moods can be very up and down. Nora took them all in stride. Nora comes extremely highly recommended from us."
