Nohemi is a highly qualified health care worker. She was completely reliable about covering her days. She took care of my mom with two other women. She worked two days per week and they switched days/subbed for each other if one had a conflict. I live two hours away but never had any concerns re my mother’s care. Nohemi was extremely competent as well as conscientious making sure Mom was well fed. She cooked delicious meals for her that were my mom’s favorite foods and encouraged her to eat on days when Mom had no appetite. She would help her to the degree necessary including actually feeding her. She made sure Mom was clean by changing her frequently and as needed, giving her sponge baths and changing her clothes and bedding. She even trimmed her hair and put on lotion so Mom wouldn’t scratch her dry skin. Although Mom wanted to just sleep, Nohemi made sure to wake her and feed her and keep her up for a while to try to keep her a bit more aware. She would call me when Mom was awake so I could talk with her even after her LBD had progressed to a point she could no longer carry on a conversation;, Nohemi was sure to hold the phone up to her ear so she could hear me and she knew who I was and knew I was with her. Finally Nohemi was fully knowledgeable about my mother’s meds and would call me to let me know if for example Mom was hallucinating and she needed to give her meds, call hospice etc. As is evident I was extremely pleased with Nohemi”s performance. She was at all times energetic and demonstrated she really cared for my mother. Mom passed a couple of weeks ago at 102. I credit her phenomenal care as one of the factors for her longevity. Nohemi is also fully fluent in Spanish as well as proficient in English. I would be happy to talk to anybody considering hiring her. I was.extremely satisfied with the care she gave Mom at all times.
