I came from a pretty large family, so the reality is I started helping out with younger siblings and cousins right out the gate. The thing is I was always naturally good with kids and I really enjoyed it. Then when I got a little older I took some "working with children" classes, I became the go to neighborhood babysitter and even spent some time working in a day care for school credit. The real shift in my life came about in 2008 when I was given the opportunity to work for a local care agency. This changed my world, I helped a single mother who ran a special needs foster home with 2-3 medically fragile infants, as well as her own 4 children and my life was never the same. Once I finished highschool and all of the required county training I became a live in nanny and these children became my world. Name any aspect of childcare and I guarantee you I have seen and conquered. I handled a wide range of medical needs, meals, driving to and from commitments, and any other place I was needed

Nikki has been w/ our family for over a year now, and she is a gem! The kids love her, and she integrated into our family easily. She has traveled with us, done overnight, and drives the kids to various activities. Here is a summary of her strengths: —excellent communication w kids and parents —empathizes w kids and teaches them skills on how to deal w strong emotions —helps w other household tasks such as laundry, light cleaning, and cooking —self motivated and plans kids’ activities but also follows instructions well
