About Nikia

Hello! My name is Nikia and I am a Howard University graduate from New York. I have had four professional nanny jobs and I currently work twice a month for one of my families that I hope to continue with. In addition, I work as a high school Spanish teacher. Throughout college, I have gained more experience with kids and have learned new ways to engage with them while connecting with them and building a relationship that emphasizes fun, trust, mutual respect, and growing together through such fragile times in their lives. I also try to be very authentic with families by exposing them to my own hobbies and culture to expand their exposure to different types of things. (Ex. talking about fun movies/shows, reading Spanish books to expose the language, etc.)
