I am 30 years old and have been taking care of elderly clients in their homes for the last 9 years. My most recent experience was an 89-year-old woman with severe dementia. I served as a 24/7 live in care giver for her and during the day I would be relieved for a few hours to run errands etc. during my time with There I was responsible for all of her day to day care including hygiene , medication , exercise , meal preparation , laundry , general housekeeping , shopping , as well as setting and observing appointments such as physical therapy etc. Not only is it important to care for clients physical needs but emotional needs as well. I take pride in coming up with unique ways to keep clients engaged , active and happy! Before that, my clients were a 93, and 94-year-old couple. One of which was suffering from Alzheimer's. I started off caring for them just a few hours a day and eventually became a full time live in there as their needs progressed.
