About Nicholas

Tutoring, whether it be for a disadvantaged person to stay at grade level or a gifted student desiring more rigorous coursework than what is found in the modern, southern classroom; is a multifunctional tool, urging depth of understanding, contextual knowledge, and generalization. I would aim to make the mundane exciting, recognize desired achievements with appropriate praise, and to emphasize the importance of constant growth. I like tutoring because I love sharing information in a way that makes sense. Similar to the idea of the smallest common denominator. I've always believed that if you can't simplify it enough for someone then you don't really know what you're talking about. My top 3 skills include empowering students to conquer their challenges, delivering concise and accurate information, and pushing the student to develop their own unique interest in the subject that increases the likelihood of a true internal system of reinforcement.
