About Nia

I like working with kids because it's always been a calling of mine. Growing up in a church community, I was always ready to volunteer to take care of the infants and toddlers while the parents would be in service. I love the kids' innocence and their enthusiasm and naivety it's so inspiring to see the world from their point of view. In my spare time, I like to read and take care of myself, I love cooking and crafting I'm a very artsy person. One thing you should know about me is I like to consider myself whimsical and eccentric. I like to think outside the box and have fun with life instead of letting all the seriousness of the world drag me down. My skills include positive behavior support which includes calm re direction, active listening, and clear boundaries. I'm good with communication skills with parents and with kids, working in a daycare I'm good with knowing risk awareness and hygiene. As long as you give me clear instructions and expectations I can definitely adhere to them.
