About Nia

Hi! I'm Nia, and I have experience working with children from toddlers through elementary school. I spent about a year as a Lead Teacher at Lightbridge Academy, primarily working with 2-3-year-olds and supporting their daily routines, learning, and development. I also worked at Wise Owl in Armonk, assisting with preschool prep and teaching cooking classes to children ages 4-5 and second graders. These classes focused on hands-on learning, introducing concepts like measurements, and encouraging creativity. With a background in theater, I love bringing creativity and imagination into activities with kids! I'm patient, dependable, and attentive, and I know how important it is to respect each family's routines and preferences. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family!
