I am a loving and nurturing nanny and caregiver looking for an extended family. I am kind very patient, reliable, strong communicator, clean, and very honest. I have 14 years of childcare experience. I like to be engaged with the children and be able to grow and explore with them. This is a rewarding experience for me to be able to see the positive influence I have brought into the children's lives and just being able to interact with the family. I have always had a passion for children. I have a big heart for children. I drive, have my own car, and have a clean record. I like taking kids to the park, zoo, museums, play dates, and activities they may have. I do light housekeeping, laundry, fold clothes, prepare meals, tidy bedrooms, clean kitchen, dishes and other errands such as buying groceries, and cleaners. Nellie has been absolutely incredible.  She started caring for our son when he was 14 months old up until now at 5.5 years old.  We love her and she has become a part of our family.  She is extremely kind, patient, warm and loving.  We had a COVID baby so it was very challenging navigating that first year and finding someone we could truly trust. We found Nellie on Care.com and upon our first meeting, we knew she was the one to care for our son.  She is full of energy and fun taking him to music classes, play centers, gym classes and all kind of activities to keep him entertained and happy.  She has even taken care of him while we were away on vacation, it was very hard to leave him for the first time but we knew he was in safe and loving hands at all times and would be very well cared for.  Nellie is wonderful and we can't say enough great things about her or recommend her enough.  Our son absolutely adores her!

This isn’t just a job for Nellie. The families she nannies for become her family. Nellie is truly one of the most genuine and kindest people I have ever met. 
She is so attentive to children and does an incredible job of setting boundaries while being compassionate and empathetic. Her attention is always on the children and she goes above and beyond the scope of her job description. She pours her heart into helping others by the way she plans fun outings for kids, supporting parents, and becoming a true friend. Nellie is worth her weight in gold and any family would be so lucky to have her nanny for them. 

Nellie became an extension of our family. She is the most wonderful care giver you could wish for your child. Nellie helped us care for our daughter from 3 months to 2.5 years old. She is so loving, kind and professional. She doesn’t arrive on time, she arrives early. She always goes the extra step in caring for us, our child and home. We love her and know any family who has the opportunity to work with her is truly blessed. 

Nellie is truly amazing. She watched our twin boys when they were very young and they loved her. She was kind, gentle and cared for them like her own. She also has a wonderful family who helps along the way and is comfortable sitting at her house or yours. She is punctual and also willing to help with laundry, etc. 

Although we did not hire Nellie she was very communicative with us the whole time. She replied quickly to our messages and was very open about her availability.

As a first time/new mom I was very anxious about hiring a nanny to care for my son and Nellie was just what we needed.  She was thoughtful, caring, and my son just loved her. Any family would be lucky to have her care for their children.

Nellie was truly a part of our family and I would hire her again if I could. She took care of my daughter and nephew from 4 months to 1 year. Without my trust in Nellie I would have never felt so confident going back to work. She cared for my daughter like she was her own child. She always stayed active with her taking her to the park, music class & story time at the library. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her as a nanny.

Nellie is an incredibly caring individual. She treats the children she cares for as her own. She is dependable and trustworthy. She also is capable of handling errands, laundry and other light housekeeping.

Nellie took care of our son from the time he was 7 months until he was 2. I can't imagine having anyone take better care of my child. I really connected with Nellie and so did my son. Even now, almost 9 months since we've last seen her, he still talks about her. We loved that she was very safety conscious and observant. I never worried about her being on her phone or being distracted. It's clear she's very dedicated to her work.

Quite simply put Nellie is a modern day Mary Poppins! For the past 2.5 years Nellie has been far more than a nanny to our family. We are an English couple with a daughter born in San Francisco and with no family over here we have come to rely on Nellie heavily.

Nellie is way more than a nanny to our daughter S., she is part of the family. Nellie is kind, caring, energetic and very protective of our girl. She's a safe driver who takes our daughter out to activities every day and has made sure that Sophie has a strong social circle which it turn has built up our daughters confidence with other children and fostered a happy and curious personality who is starting preschool already knowing her ABC's, her numbers and with an extensive vocabulary.

Nellie is the one you see at the park running around and playing with the child, not glued to her cell phone. She will keep you up to date throughout the day with photos and texts. We highly recommend Nellie to any lucky family.

Nellie is really caring and wonderful to children.  I would have hired her if her schedule was not already full. I would recommend her for child care.

Same as other reviews. She's qualified but backed out of job. 

I started my nanny search with care.com back in May as I was moving from Cleveland to the Bay area. I was looking for a full time nanny as both my husband and I work full time. We interviewed Nellie along with many wonderful Care.com candidates. Nellie seemed very attentive, loving, and responsible. I believe she would have been a wonderful nanny for our children and she accepted the position. Nellie committed to a full time (40 hour plus) work week with us. 

Unfortunately, Nellie resigned from her job with us the week before she was supposed to start on August 1st. She resigned by e-mail and did not have the decency to at least call me with her resignation. Unfortunately, I did not see Mike Y's review before I hired her.  Reading Mike Y's review from June, she was clearly not upfront with us regarding her personal situation when accepting the position.  We were very disappointed with the short notice and Nellie's communication regarding her resignation. I am starting a new job in a week and am now desperately trying to figure out what to do for childcare.

Nellie interviewed with us in May and committed to a 20 hour/wk job for my family this June. She seemed to be a loving and attentive nanny when she met with us and interacted with our 12 month old daughter. 

Unfortunately, Nellie resigned from her job with us the week that she was supposed to start. She did offer an alternate caregiver but not one that was on Care.com. We were very disappointed with the short notice and Nellie's communication regarding her resignation.

Nellie has been caring for both my children, 3 and 6 years old, since November. Nellie is reliable and caring. She is a sensible and practical caregiver who provides us with exceptional support. I'm pleased to recommend Nellie and happy to provide further reference.

I've conducted several phone interviews of candidates from Care.com and Nellie just completed a 5 star interview. You can tell that she really loves children. Her method of guiding children is also what you would want in a high caliber nanny.
