About Nell

Hi! Thank you so much for considering me for the care of your most precious gift. I am a Bio & Interdisciplinary Studies B. S. student on a hiatus, looking to serve. My passion for childcare is best described as a passion for people. As a neurodivergent child, I often felt misunderstood. As an adult, I share James Baldwin's sentiment: "The children are always ours" -- meaning that whether I am on or off the clock, around children or adults, I believe it's my responsibility to investigate the individual thought patterns (and systems at large) that inhibit us from serving them. I love to cook, sew, paint, and write, so I can foster hands-on creativity and critical thinking skills for children, in an increasingly digital age. I also value schedules, nutrition, and making exercise genuinely fun. I have several years' experience in veterinary medicine, so I work with fur babies as well! Thanks again for your consideration!
