About Nathaniel W

My name is Nate and I am currently in the Navy stationed in Niceville, FL. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in Mechanical Engineering and was apart of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. I have always gravitated towards STEM subjects in my education, and am passionate about the true understanding of fundamental concepts in mathematics and general physics. I believe that a little extra work up front with the basics can pay off largely down the road when concepts begin to get complex. I worked for 5 years as a swim team instructor, and have plenty of experience working with kids ranging from 8 to 18 years old. While I do not have a formal background in education, I have years of experience assisting friends and classmates with school related material. Math and science did not come naturally to me, so I understand first hand how frustrating and difficult learning blocks can be - especially in these subjects. I would love an opportunity to help out!
