About Natasha

Hi! I'm Natasha. I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, curious, and engaged. I take a flexible, student-centered approach, getting to know each child's interests, strengths, and learning style. Depending on their needs, I use visual aids, hands-on activities, games, storytelling, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and accessible. I have one year of experience teaching Spanish to elementary students and two years of volunteer tutoring experience. As a mom of two preschoolers, I bring patience, warmth, and flexibility to working with younger children. I also work with older students and am a UC Berkeley lecturer with a PhD in Anthropology and five years of university teaching experience. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and tutor math through pre-calculus, science, Spanish, English, writing, reading, history, social sciences, research, and study skills. My goal is to build both understanding and confidence.
