About Natalie

Hello! My name is Natalie, I am 23 and currently attending my Junior year in college at UNT. I am a registered Certified Nursing Assistant, and my job experience in this field includes working for Silverado Memory Care center. This center was for people with dementia etc., and my duties were very hands on-showers, walking assists, feeding, bathroom assistance, assistance with getting dressed, changing soiled garments, medication reminders (though the meds were administered by an RN), and general care and company. I of course have first aid training and knowledge of what to do in various emergency situations. I have worked with high functioning dementia patients as well as late-stage dementia patients. However, human beings are more than just patients, more than just a name on a chart. In my experience, a huge part of caring for the elderly is compassion, patience, and above all respect for and attention to the dignity of the individual you are caring for.
