About Naomi

Hi! I'm Naomi, and I would love the opportunity to be your tutor! I received my B. S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Applied Math & Statistics from Johns Hopkins in 2023 (3. 97 GPA, Department Honors), then completed my M. S. in Neuroscience at UCSF with a 4. 0 GPA. My passion for tutoring began over five years ago as a peer tutor at Johns Hopkins, where I spent several years tutoring calculus and chemistry. I've also been a teaching assistant for computing, computational neuroscience, and graduate-level molecular neuroscience classes. I can tutor a wide range of math and science classes up to a college level. My goal is to create a supportive, fun environment where students feel comfortable asking anything. I break complex problems into smaller pieces, use real-world examples, and encourage independence, all to help students improve their grades and develop an enthusiasm for the subject!
