After retiring from several successful professional careers, I began my favorite career over 5 years ago, tutoring and teaching. I tutoring most levels of coursework in all grades, but have also taught Home School students in 1 to all classes successfully. I engage my students with very individualized approaches. My goals vary from building knowledge to adding more appropriately challenging lessons. Often I include exec. functioning skills, like organizing, prioritizing, and breaking big projects down to smaller steps. As I help with homework, test prep and projects, I make sure my kids have the necessary, strong foundational skills to help them be confident, successful, happy students As I have continued to work with many students for years, I have added guidance in choosing summer, and extra-curricular programs as well as college related support: SAT Prep, college application assistance, and more. I am extremely committed to each of my students.

Nancy developed a wonderful multimodal curriculum for our student athlete (5th grade) as she transitioned to homeschooling. By using reading and writing assignments that incorporated lessons from history and science she made the workload both engaging and efficient. Using our daughter's gymnastics as the basisnfor teaching physics really brought the lessons home, and really helped her understand what she was doing in the gym. We changed gyms and now use an online course that the rest of the team uses too, so we won't get to see what 6th grade might have brought, but Nancy really stepped up to the challenge and made the switch to homeschooling mostly pain free.
