About Nan

I am an experienced educator, tutor, nanny and mother of three successful grown children. I ONLY PROVIDE CHILDCARE/TUTOR CHILDREN AGE 3+. I have a B. A. in English (Smith and Dartmouth Colleges), and MA in Education (Boston College and Harvard Graduate School of Education) and have completed all coursework to be a certified MA teacher. Guided by developmentally appropriate practice and a child-centered approach, I share my love of language and literacy through reading, writing, integrating the arts across the curriculum, and cultivating curiosity through hands-on experiences. I am educational technology proficient, speak intermediate Spanish and basic French language, and am university certified to teach English to speakers of other languages. I have worked with racially and economically diverse families and am CPR, First Aid certified, a former lifeguard and swim instructor, volunteer art teacher, play several instruments and love to sing.
