About Nam

Hi, my name is Nam and I am currently working as a substitute teacher for different districts. I recently finished a long-term assignment in South L. A. teaching reading/phonics and science to kindergarten and 1st grade students. I majored in Television, Film, and Media Studies with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from California State University, Los Angeles. As an in-home tutor for the past 5 years, I provided one-on-one instruction to students in the areas of language arts and math. The assigned students are initially administered a preliminary test to determine their weaknesses in the different aspects of a particular subject matter. I tutor each student at his or her own pace using detailed curriculum packets and worksheets to enhance their education. My experience in preschool through 12th grade classrooms have taught me a great deal on the learning habits and behavior of children. I've also been employed as an after-school program leader from different companies.
