About Nakya

Hi! My name is Nakya, but you can call me Kya. I'm the eldest of five and have spent a lifetime caring for children, with professional nanny experience since 2019. I'm originally from the Bay Area and discovered my passion for early childhood while working at a JCC Preschool in college. That experience led me to shift my academic focus from psychology to early childhood development. I'm confident and hands-on with ages 0-3, and my most recent role supported a child from birth through preschool and now I have an honorary nephew who I see as often as possible, because caring for children is more than a job to me. To me, nannying means becoming a trusted part of a family and helping guide a little person as they learn about the world. That connection is what I love most. I truly believe the best care comes from finding the right fit for both child and caregiver, so I'm always happy to begin with a trial period.
