About Naima

Hi, I'm Naima. (n-EYE-ma) I have seven years of formal experience working with & caring for young children. I started as an assistant teacher at a well-known early childhood education establishment in NYC. I am pursuing an MsEd in early childhood education, with an extension in special education & early intervention certification. I ask that potential employers be willing to be flexible with hours, as my availability changes by semester. Typically, this looks like needing to leave work by 4P one to two days a week, depending on my class schedule. My approach with children centers developmentally appropriate expectations and emotional awareness and responsiveness. I also have Montessori experience as an assistant guide in a Nido (infant) classroom.
