I strongly believe that literacy of the word and world is literacy of the self! My style is interdisciplinary, blending history with culture and environmental studies to create a comprehensive understanding of the world. I place a strong emphasis on student choice as relevancy is key to motivation. I can help with English, new English speakers, History, Russian, College Applications and Public Speaking. I was recognized with a school prize for teaching 2nd graders Russian, and I am very comfortable with all age ranges and educational levels, especially as a result of substituting districtwide. Nadiya has been working with my two children on their Russian skills. She is more than I could have asked for ! We started in person tutoring , and then we had to go to Zoom instruction. At first, I was hesitant because my past experience was virtually tutoring was not sic easily for my two young children , but Nadiya is amazing!! She knows how to keep the children engaged and yet make it productive at the same time. She also teaches the children Russian history and culture, which is more than I would have expect. She is also very kind and sweet, my kids actually enjoy going onto Zoom on the weekends to learn!! So glad we found her !!
