About Myrna

I am passionate in caring for the elderly as we grew up in a home where taking care of our elders was the norm until they die. Our parents took care of theirs and we tried our best to take care of our elderly even in the US. Deeply cared for someone who raised me, took her from another state to live with us until her death in a hospice facilities. Provided assistance in medical intake, personal needs, appointments, banking, companionship, meal preparation, assistance in cultural and social events functions, bathing and getting dressed. Currently doing the same companionship work for the past 8 months for a 96-year-old former NYC sculptor who enjoys going out, playing bridge, home cooked meals, reading books, strolling in the parks and volunteer work for the community. The job makes me feel good, appreciated and it compensates for the inability to take care of other elderly family members due to distance.
