About Myra

I am a 71-year-old retired kindergarten teacher (15 years) and a registered nurse (20 + years). I moved to the Crystal Coast 3 years ago after my husband died. I have 20 years of nursing experience as an RN. I have worked with dementia care patients in the hospital, in memory units, and long term care facilities. For the past 22 months I have worked with 2 early dementia patients. I provided medication management, meal prep and monitoring intake of food, light housekeeping, laundry, transportation to appointments, and supervision of daily activities. I feel the most important part of my services was companionship. I believe interaction and activity are very important to living the best possible life at the stage you are. I took my clients out to lunch, shopping, hair appointments, movies, and out to see Christmas lights. I am a talker and enjoy being with people. I like to knit, crochet, and read in my spare time. I have 2 small dogs so pets are no problem.
