About Myel

Hi there! I am currently enrolled and working towards getting a degree in Social Work to form a career surrounding the wellbeing of children in the future. As a college student, this could be a great way to earn a bit of money as well as furthering my understanding and development with children! I not only have experience as an older sister with younger siblings and cousins, but work as a camp counselor at the KC Urban Youth Academy previously head softball coach at Building Champions Fast pitch Academy. I have worked with special needs children as well as different ages at exceptionals which is a sports event centered on making sure that even those that cannot typically compete, still can! I heavily prioritize mental health, embracing every child's individuality, and having fun first and foremost. I really enjoy sports, theatre, movies, arts and crafts, finding new restaurants, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen! I love working with kiddos and putting a smile on their faces!
