About Mya

Hi! My name is Mya and I am senior attending Eastern Washington University. I also play on the women's soccer team! I have been working with kids since before I can remember. I started out by watching my younger sister and her friends, and then began babysitting other children in her class. My mother and grandmother are special education teaches and I have spent many hours working in their classrooms. I have a large passion for child development which is one of the reasons why I am double majoring in communication disorders and receiving my teaching license. I have worked with kids of all ages, each with individual needs. More recently I have been working with infants and younger children, but I love working with children of all ages. I enjoy going outside with the kids and allowing for them to move their bodies and become more creative. If the weather doesn't allow for the outside activities I am great at finding new ways to have fun, smile, and learn!
