About Mya

Ever since a younger age, I've always known I wanted to work with children. It is important to make some kind of impact on people's lives and I feel like children are the most crucial time to do so. My passion had started with my grandmother's daycare as I assisted along with their daily routine. Throughout high school, I took an early education course where I observed and worked hand-and-hand with preschoolers including a special ed classroom. I am currently in college with a desire to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist along with having an EEC certified teaching license in Infant, toddlers, preschool, and pre-k. I have a great amount of experience working at a preschool as a lead toddler teacher in Boston. Since the pandemic, I have had the great opportunity of working as a nanny and continuing to build my experience with children. My passion is shown through my work. With all of my experience, I am excited to create a fun educational environment with the new kids I meet!
