About Moraiah

Experience: 10 yrs

COVID-19 vaccinated

I love to learn. I pursued my education with the hope of one day sharing that same love of learning with children I! As a creative person, I love to bring fun, educational activities, projects, and crafts to help children learn new skills, from practical life skills to portrait painting! I began tutoring and mentoring students during middle school. I've also worked privately with families for tutoring and enriched childcare. My teaching experience ranges from teaching Undergraduate Painting Majors at the University is the Arts in Philadelphia, to teaching at a Montessori school in Boston's Back Bay. What I enjoy most is working with families to offer individualized childcare for little ones. What sets me apart from a conventional "nanny," is that I can provide fun activities and games to help kids learn an array of new skills, all in the comfort of your own home. I also have experience working with children with allergies & EpiPen's. I'm also First Aid/CPR/AED certified!

Moraiah has taken care of our two children, ages 6 and 8, after school, for two years now. She is kind, caring, creative, patient, meticulously organized, flexible, and a totally dedicated team player. She is an artist by training and she develops wonderful puzzles, activities, word games, and craft projects. Moraiah manages to tailor her time with the kids-- and the activities she does with them -- to support their academic and social-emotional growth. She is also able to just relax and read books or play cards or tag or catch, when that's what the afternoon demands. Increasingly, the afternoons and evenings include outside commitments -- music lessons and sports practices and the like. Moraiah has been wonderful about staying three steps ahead of the rest of us, always anticipating the shifts in the plans and adjusting her own plans with the kids accordingly so that they'll arrive where they need to, on time, dressed appropriately, and with snack!
