About Monique

I have worked with children for 7 years now; a majority of that time was volunteer work for the local church where I attend. We mentor youth from around the island, help them with life challenges, and provide them with new opportunities/experiences that will enhance their character and skill level. I recently worked for the YMCA as an After-School Group Leader for kindergarten and first grade, I worked there for about 2 years before I resigned for my current job now. I am a Resource Teacher at an elementary, doing the P.E. classes for kindergarten, first, and second grade. I have been working at the school for about one year and a half. These are the only two jobs that I received pay for throughout my child care years. Working with children and youth is my passion, I love the energy and creativity that young children have. Children help remind me that everyone still has a little kid inside of them, and when I care for kids they help me appreciate the little things. All my life, I have been caring for kids and I know that I will be doing that for a long time, which I enjoy doing.
