Hello! My dad had a stroke at age 55 and is now currently 62 years old. His left side got paralyzed and doctors told him he wouldn't be able to walk again. 7 years later he walks on his own but very slowly, he can use the restroom on his own, he drives if he has to, he can do most things alone but very slowly and most times with help. I am mostly the one taking care of him. I give him his medication at the times that he has to take them, I help dress him, I cook for him, I give him rides to where he needs to go. I also provide therapy for his leg and arm. I take him on walks so the he has some mobility and isn't just sitting all day. I am pretty experienced when it comes to helping and caring for elderly people. I have not bathed him nor helped him clean himself because his partner at the time helped him with that.
