Monica started as a nanny for our daughter in August 2020 when our daughter was 1 year 3 months old. She quickly established herself as a trustworthy, reliable, knowledgeable, communicative and energetic caretaker for our active little one. As first-time parents, we certainly didn’t have all the answers to parenting, nor were we always in agreement on the little things, but without even knowing it, Monica would demonstrate certain things for us that just worked. She pushed our little one to limits we may not have done as first-time (perhaps helicopter) parents. As of today, our 4 ½ year-old is a bright, confident, brave and curious student of life and we firmly believe that is a combination of nature and nurture, heavily credited to Monica. We are blessed with a solid village of family and friends around our daughter, but Monica has spent the most one-on-one time with her over these past 3+ years since we both work full time. For us, this is comforting because Monica is simply part of the family now. Now that our daughter is in school full-time, whether it’s a school program or a date night childcare need, Monica is the first choice by all and gets the first right of refusal. We all love her (grandparents included), but nobody more than our daughter. If she doesn’t see Monica for some time, she is definitely asking to spend a day with her soon. To capture it in a moment, one school night, as our daughter was getting out some last thoughts with eyes barely open, she let out a yawn while saying “I hope Monica wakes me up in the morning soon.” Our hearts swelled. We of course assured her they would see each other soon. We are in constant contact still and hope that remains the same. Clearly I can’t speak highly enough, but if you have any direct questions that you would like me to answer, I’d be happy to provide a clear and honest answer. These kiddos are our most treasured parts of life, so I know the decision on a caretaker is not light. If Monica is still available, don’t miss this opportunity, but treat her well.
