About Monica

I work as a Paraeducator at preschool. I have three years of experience in a full-day center based Autism classroom. I excel at compassion, patience, and language. I respect children greatly, and I see them as active participants in their education and skill building. I have experience with AAC devices and big feelings. I am CPI certified, and I have practiced the skills I need to keep myself and others safe while always working toward deescalation. I speak some Spanish; predominantly the language used in a classroom setting. I have a special preference for music and books. I have moderate cooking skills. I mostly cook American and Indian food. I'm available intermittently all summer, and outside of school hours starting in August.
