About Monica

I'm a responsible and friendly undergrad with a passion for writing, grammar, and the English language. I graduated high school with straight As in English and a 3. 77 GPA overall. I currently have a 4. 0. I have high ACT scores, including a 28 Composite, a 24 in Math, and a 35 in English, so I'm very capable of providing K-6 Math instruction and K-12 + ACT English instruction. On my spare time, I love to write screenplays, draw, and sing. I've had the pleasure of sharing some of my passions with first and second graders, as I have led art projects and singing lessons for a split class of this age group. As an avid writer, I have a thorough understanding of grammar, and my experiences with those first and second graders have taught me how to share my knowledge in simple and effective ways that kids can understand. I'll never forget the day that the head teacher of the split class asked me to help a special needs child to re-take a spelling test; he ended up with a 100%!
