About Modesto

Modesto was, as far as we were concerned, a gift from God. He took amazing care of my husband for almost a year. He always went above and beyond-he helped him with bathing, dressing, toileting, exercising-following through with P.T. recommendations, making meals. In addition, he became a friend to my husband, watching movies with him, helping him declutter his office and making sure he was taken care of physically. My husband had a lot of needs and Modesto dealt with all of them compassionately, patiently and professionally. Not only did he take good care of him, he helped me take care of the house, fix a number of things, shared the walking of our dog and anything else we needed. On top of it all, he was very generous and was always bringing us surprise treats. And he was very sensitive about our need for privacy and would give us that space. He was very independent and took care of all his own living and eating needs (he provided 24/7 care for my husband). We weren't the only ones who realized how amazing he was - our friends all thought how lucky we were to have him care for my husband and say to this day, if we need care, whether we or male or female, Modesto is whom we would want to care for us. He was so close to all of us, he was with us to the end of my husband's life. Anyone who is able to get Modesto as a caregiver will be more than luck.
